Haka Lodge Auckland

I spent 5 nights in this hostel. I arrived late the first day and was made very welcome. Showers and rooms are clean. In the hostel there are no noises at night. What makes noise is the karaoke bar next door but luckily it doesn't last all night. This did not prevent me from getting up around 7:30. You will find what you need nearby. I recommend

Amazing stay at the Haka Lodge. The place is as pretty and nice as in the pictures, and even though you may sleep with a lot of people in a room, you still get a lot of privacy having the curtains and plugs and all in each bed! The staff were all amazing, and helped me a lot every time I unexpectedly needed to extend my stay a little longer. It might not be the cheapest hostel in the area (which btw, great location, just a few minutes walking of everything), but it's definitely worth it. If I ever need to stay somewhere in Auckland again, I'll for sure stay in Haka!

Stayed for 3 nights over a weekend in the 6-bed dorms. Linens were clean, and it was nice to have a light, charge point, and privacy curtain in the bed. Dorm mates were all respectful of each other’s space and friendly. No air conditioning though, so be prepared for that. Make sure to bring good earplugs since the hostel is on a bustling road near a karaoke bar.

Kitchen was clean and well-stocked. Showers and toilets were clean enough, although the shower drains need help (doesn’t drain the water fast enough). Staff were helpful any time I had questions. WiFi was strong. Overall, I’d recommend this hostel and would stay again.

Really nice and friendly hostel with good facilities. However, had a big issue with sleeping here as the noise coming from outside was just overwhelming. Also didn’t like the fact that the duvet covers are not washed after every guests use.

This has been one of the nicer hostels. It is in a centrally located spot and the windows need to be open to keep the room cool, so expect noise outside. Stayed two separate nights and was happy with the place.
