So full of character. Abby was the perfect host - so friendly and helpful. A storm last night left the coast roads flooded which meant we could not leave Coromandel for several hours. Abby allowed us to hang around the hostel until the roads were clear and kept us updated about the situation. Many thanks Abby. We wish we were staying longer.

Lions Den was for me by far the best hostel experience through my travels in NZ.
Great atmosphere, cozy rooms, and exepctionally friendly owner, who fyi, drove me all the way to Thames to reech the Intercity Bus.

Just perfect! Good price for a great location. Clean showers and toilets. Fantastic outdoor shower too. Super comfy bed! Highly recommended

Just arrived and love it. Beautiful vibe, a lot of attention to detail and an outdoor shower. We have a cute and comfy double room.
