Buffalo Lodge

A really lovely end to our one month in New Zealand! A beautiful location and a very high standard lodge with a lot of personal touches provided by our host Abby who goes out of her way to provide a really nice guest experience. Excellent value and highly recommended!

Abby is such a wonderful person AND host, ofcause. Everything is prepared and done with so much love - you can see and feel it in every detail. Even when the description and pictures are already great - in real live it is even way better - unbelievable. I felt very welcome and home at once and Abby took also care of a very special breakfast for me (vegan) - without even asking for it! We also had a good chat upfront and during my very (to) short stay. I hope I can be there some day and enjoy everything for a longer time.

Our short time at buffalo Lodge was fantabulous. Abby was a delightful host - who bakes a scrumptious croissant. Our room felt just like home, with the added bonus of amazing views. The surrounds of the Lodge were lush and tranquil, while the drive to town was convenient. Will be go to accomodation on our next trip to New Zealand.

Buffalo Lodge is a true paradise!
We wish we could have stayed forever.
The lodge is surrounded by nature (native bush) and the view from there is just amazing (especially from the terraces). The place is so peaceful, clean, comfy and well decorated. It's also perfectly equipped : fully equipped kitchen, all-day coffee/tea (range of delicious teas) with cookies, a library filled with great books, puzzles & games, bluetooth music speaker, great natural body care & haircare products, yummy breakfast, etc.
The lodge is close to Coromandel's city center (5mn by car) and has parking spots.
Last but not least : Abby is the sweetest host! She warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home instantly. She was always available for us, very helpful and it was lovely to talk with her.
