No hot water in shower, currently staying for one night. Crease in bed sheets as walked in, TV remote batteries old, not even replaced… Reception was extremely rude, said she had just finished a 15 hour shift??… As if this is my problem, if you simply do not like your job, LEAVE.

Extremely bad place to stay considering we could not even shower….. Do not stay here.

Great location, easy walk to town.
We were lucky enough to get a room on very short notice on a busy night in town.
Great staff, super helpful and accommodating with me arriving later than expected.

Very basic room inclusions which thankfully do include an iron, coffee/teas and milks.
We had wifi, a huge tv which had basic sky options, a balcony and a bath (however no plug). Both Aircon/heating and fans.
The room is tired, and smelt odd but that was nothing major.

The one issue we did have was the lack of sound proofing between rooms. Unfortunately for us, we were woken throughout the night by a woman on our floor who was yelling/swearing incessantly at her poor wee baby who was also crying.

Advertising is false. The website says there is a hot tub (there isn’t). I paid via Expedia and the reception staff tried to tell me that the Expedia rate was wrong and I should pay more. Very unhelpful. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Hi there when speaking with you this morning I was informed that we had taken the last avaliable room, there for how was it possible to then up grade our room. We did inform you on the fridge that was left defrosting. As an establishment offering services a room check should always be conducted before letting it out. I work in the hospitality industry both in tourism and facility care. The rooms should have been cleaned to the highest standard. We did not check in early, which should have given your staff plenty of time to make sure the room was in a exceptable standard as our arrival was well after 1600hrs. The room needs attention. I myself late last night after returning to our room around 8.30pm to 9pm came across soap stuck to the bathroom floor, hair on the bath tub, the room smells really bad but then so does the corridor, I said to my husband it smells like an old people's home, we could smell cigarettes smoke when we tried to close the window near our bed it wouldn't lock cause it couldn't close properly.. the lamps and other items hadn't been dusted either. Cobwebs in the windows, aircon had been serviced or cleaned in along and blew out dust and all sorts staining the sheets, at the time we were informed by management that the person staying in that room prior to us, was supposed to only be there for 1 night but ended up staying for a month. I am currently employed as a supervisor for housekeeping for a top aged care facility in Hamilton and feel that this level of negligence needs to be addressed and properly remedied. I have also got experience in motel cleaning so I understand the pressure and time it takes to properly prepare each and every room, but needless to say that this is no excuse for the condition in which your rooms are being managed. Always remember that first impressions last and that every time a client chooses to stay at your suites, they are there to enjoy themselves and their holiday, weather that be 1 night or 10, they should walk in feeling the warmth and excitement that comes with being away on a break... they should be hit with the clean smell in the room and not see stained carpet and odors, dust, dirt, fridges being defrosted, though your staff member did apologize for the fridge, but again this should not happen ever.. thank u for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

A few good points were the bed was very comfortable and the TV was a great size especially for watching the All Blacks game. Plus a short walk into town. Has underground parking.

Arrived tired after a long drive, no towels etc to freshen up, soaking wet towel in the fridge. Later on filled the spa bath up and within a few minutes water kept disappearing plus the jets were not much chop. Plus no info folder as motels/hotels usually have. Doesn't have free wifi either.
For the price you pay not value for money so very disappointed 😔
Unfortunately we won't be staying again.
