La Laguna Galapagos Hotel

Beautiful hotel and excellent location. Sebastian from the hotel has been amazing. Helping arrange trips and a birthday meal for my partner. If you come to Isabela, you should stay here

Nice little hotel, very conveniently located. They had good service, good food, and decent rooms. If you don't have a room with a balcony there is really no place to hang bathing suits/wet stuff so ask for that when making the reservation. Wifi is not great at all (worst of all the hotels) but thankfully I had service on the island that was way more reliable. My phone and PC both said "No internet available" the whole time and I was told that the hotel was full so that's why (that's not how that works - but okay).
We even had a power outage the last night I was there (the whole island!) and the hotel staff was helpful throughout.

La Laguna was an absolute gem & one of the best hotels we stayed at on the 3 islands! The staff was top notch - Incredibly kind & extremely helpful when it came to booking tours and transportation! We spent a lot of time in the water so coming back to a clean room, hot shower, and a balcony to hang our wet gear was perfect. One day, we did a 10 mile volcano hike followed by a snorkel tour and the staff had a hot tub on the rooftop ready for us when we got back! It was absolute perfection. I couldn’t speak more highly of this place.

This guy is a JOKE, first of all no hello upon arrival in Isabela, just a grim face. The communication was close to nil since the beginning. We had to ask him for every little thing, such a pain for the outrageous price you pay. We paid him upfront close to 500usd for the both of us for activities that we could have gotten cheaper directly in agencies, so what's the point of getting a grouped activity with them ? Nothing

The guide for the Tintoreras and the activity was great, but we had to insist to get full wet suit (they say short one are enough but in September it's freezing, why lying ?)

The guide for the volcano was nice but useless, almost running, still don't understand why a guide is mandatory, he was obviously rushing to go back to his place faster ( cash is king in the Galapagos)

The tuneles the guide was a sloth, sleeping on board, taking pictures of people in front of turtles rather than finding the good spot to see sharks. Bad experience and we saw more doing the Tintoreras.

So basically you go directly to agencies and you bargain the price, you'll have the same experience or better depending on the guide you have, for a better price !!

These guys have no idea how to run a tourism business and should probably train in western countries to see what a real customer service is...

We felt quite comfortable. We were allowed to choose between two rooms, which was good, because the first one unfortunately smelled very fashionable. At breakfast we were satisfied with everything.
