No it did not. It was clean and tidy, but there was lots wrong. There was no hot water over the handbasin, the shower door track was broken so it did not shut properly. Also, even though the booking was made over the telephone, and we said we would pay on departure, they took the full payment out of our Credit card the first night of a 3 day stay without telling us. It was a cheap price, but you still expect things to be better than this.

Really nice and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, we have stayed here before.

Good large combination freezers in the kitchen for your fish and other produce, could do with a bit of a clean up. However this is more likely due to other patrons themselves, as it certainly smells of old fish.

The kitchen is locked up at night, so any of your goods stored there, are stored securely.

Rooms are okay especially for the price that you are paying, and the beds are very comfortable, for a good night's sleep.

Pity about some of the inconsiderate patrons talking very loudly late well after midnight, when you are trying to sleep, who didn't seem bothered for others.

It transpired, that the person that was talking loudly, was one of their employees, this woman should have known better.

Could probably do with a few little touch ups from a handy man, but all in all this place is okay.

We would stay here again.

Sadly there were two long black hairs on the table, which is definitely not what you want to see or find, when you are about to sit down for a meal!

Once again, more likely from the previous occupants.

I understand that this is a cheap hotel and I dislike leaving bad reviews about a business but I cannot recommend this place to anybody. Our room felt and smelled damp and was filled with flys and bugs (as seen in the video).

Our bunk bed broke with two a person of both bunks nearly hurting both of them. We were promised a refund yet after we left we were then blamed for the bed breaking and denied our refund. This is very disappointing considering the bed was clearly very worn down being held together with zip ties and on a large lean. Lucky we were the ones who had it broken and not a young child as it would have caused serious injuries. Extremely disappointing.

pretty mean stay, room had a sick tv. penelope is an absolute legend, lovely lady. wish her nothing but love, and i reckon she needs a raise.
