Regent of Rotorua Boutique Hotel

Booked a luxury suite and paid premium for it. I booked two months in advance and specifically asked not to be placed in the road facing room as my last stay was horrendous, drunk night clubbers till 4am and then rubbish trucks and coaches from 6am makes for a stressful and sleepless stay. I was placed in the exact room again! No bath or leather furniture as suggested in info. Unhelpful and disinterested staff from beginning to end. Never will I ever stay here again.

Regent of Rotorua, where to start?? Travelled from Australia to Rotorua and stayed at the Regent of Rotorua. Our experience has left us with a very memorable experience.
Karen; what an absolute pleasure to deal with. She ensured that our stay was everything magical. The room was perfect, cleanliness and outstanding, very knowledgeable of the history of Rotorua. Even thou she was very busy, Karen always made herself available to us.

Mike; he ensured that our stay was what all customers would expect. We were not treated as just another customer, we were treated as if we royalty- and all customers were treated this way. Funny, because most hotels just want your business, but not Regent of Rotorua. They want every customer to have the best experience possible.

From the moment that we arrived, the front desk staff were terrific and we were looked after (actually the service from the lady was amazing). The ladies in the restaurant were outstanding, and the quality of food served exceeds a 5Star standard- thank you!

We were even greeted each day by the maintenance man (Harvey) who would be doing his daily rounds- who is a happy-go-lucky man who always brings a smile to one’s face and is always friendly and happy.

We also had our baby shower hosted in the main restaurant, and when we walked in we were absolutely amazed by the attention to detail. Everything from the seating and decor arrangement and food was something to be and will be remembered. THANK YOU KAREN, MIKE and staff working on the day at the Regent.

On behalf of my myself and my fiancé we thank Regent of Rotorua for going above and beyond. Truely outstanding.

We are looking forward to returning to New Zealand- and we will only stay at the Regent.

I am sure the hotel has some nice rooms but we stayed in a cute room, Small would not describe the size of the room. If you do stay at this hotel I would advise avoiding the cute! The room did have everything you would expect from a hotel, the shower was good and the bed was very comfortable.

Nice location near "eat street", where you have a great variety of food options. Room little bit aged, mattress too soft for us. Anyway it was okay for one night...
