Rive Gauche

Very nice place to stay if visiting Taupo. Lynne and Jim listened to our need and offered good recommendations for things to do. Property is quiet and nice. Very short drive to town to enjoy the sunset.

The place was lovely, clean and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. We really appreciate the fond memory you helped create for our family holiday. Wish we were still there!

We had an absolutely fabulous time at this accomodation. Lynne & Jim were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome with delicious snacks and tea on arrival and a beautiful breakfast each morning. Great views and bed was super comfy. Thanks again for having us and we will be back! :)

Lynne and Jim were accomplished hostess and host. Immediately we felt their genuine warmth. I am not a person who normally enjoys staying in someone’s home that I do not know. However , with their innate understanding of both my partners and my needs, without a word spoken, they made us both feel ‘at home’. Lynne and Jim have a natural ability to communicate with both grace and panache that excels most accomodation we have experienced either in New Zealand or overseas. Their ability to find common ground with their guests make one not wish to leave their company to go out to dinner. Beds, bathroom, and delicious breakfast whilst thoroughly enjoying their company made us feel as though they were both treasured old friends. Their adaptability to whomever is lucky enough to stay with them is to be treasured greatly.
I highly recommend being a treasured guest of Lynne and Jim’s. It is memorable. Thank you both.

We spent two wonderful night here. It’s a fantastic location walk to the falls and peaceful and relaxing when there. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. Thank you for a great weekend away.
