Hostal La Ronda

These guys treated us like family. The food is great! Our room was clean, comfortable and very nice. It got really cold but there are tons of blankets and a space heater too. It can be a bit loud as there is a karaoke lounge next door but we got over it quickly.

Great location in Old Town, with good views of El Panecillo if you're lucky. Plenty of room for the family

Had a kitchenette but nothing in it to make it of use. Bus/airport transfers expensive, so cheaper if you can organise yourself.

Absolutely perfect. The location of the hostel is ideal, in a touristy and busy street right next to the main tourist attractions of the city, such as the Plaza de la Independencia or the Santo Domingo church. The place is beautiful, especially the cozy central patio. The food is not far behind, we tried excellent typical Ecuadorian dishes, accompanied by a good canelazo to combat the cold. Totally recommended
