We were there overnight for a work get together. Great service all night & in the morning. Rooms are definitely getting a little run down. Sheer curtains with holes in did not look great & not being able to have a cup of tea in the morning as there was no milk in the fridge was a let down. Could of rung for some but shouldn't really have to.

Nice, if slightly tired hotel - but avoid family room 319. All the hotel’s aircon units are on the second floor roof, just outside the second bedroom. It was too noisy for the kids to sleep in there. A smaller irritation was that the second bedroom isn’t set up like a normal hotel bedroom - there are no bedside lights and the curtains go where you’d want a headboard.

The public areas are impressive, but our room didn't quite live up to expectations. It was windy when we stayed, and the metal window frames rattled (and seemed to have been glazed by a 4 year old with ADHT and a mastic gun), as did the external cladding. Some furniture seemed to have been sourced in the 1980s and was tatty. Great potential, but appeared tired and in need of a refurb. (And in how many 4 star hotels these days do you need to fill in a form to leave valuables in a security bag at reception?) On the plus side the hotel is convenient for town and has a very nice breakfast area.

Although it is a bit dated in the hallways etc the room itself is absolutely fine. Water pressure in shower is wonderful too! Location is excellent. And having a pool is a bonus. Only main issue is the wifi doesn't work well despite us calling the 0800 help number.

Poor experience at checkin. Staff member made me feel like I was interrupting the papers she was working on. No eye contact no warmth and I had to ask for information about parking. She then seemed offended when I suggested the service could be better.
No Netflix…. Really! That is a given in any property that charges as this hotel does.
Totally underwhelming experience.
