Huasi Continental

A local guide from Cuenca, Ecuador suggested this hotel. As soon as I set foot in the hotel, I was impressed. The door is small and you could almost miss it walking on the street. Clever, the receptionist, was very polite and friendly. He even took my carry-on to my room. The view from the balcony is incredible. I can see the virgin of Quito looking down the city. Room is small but enough for two people. Decoration is like old fashioned. The wooden floors incredible. I just couldn't believe the price for a night. I could actually stay here for a month. And by the way, the hotel is only 3 blocks from Quito's incredible plaza. This is a very well run and clean hotel. Kudos to the staff, as well!

Cons: - main door has to be opened by the owner, you always have to wait for him (3-5 min) - very annoying

Dingy rooms, too small bathroom, wifi didn't work in my room. Also the breakfast is poor. Good location and kind staff.

Helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Not fancy but has everything you need.

Don't be fooled by the simple facade, inside it is a cozy and pleasant place, there are very nice rooms and others that are too simple, you must first ask to see them so that you can decide. Of course, they all have hot water and high-speed wi-fi. It is in the historic center of Quito and has a free internal garage, something difficult to find in the area.
Low price: $70 total for 5 people 1 night.
The attention of the staff was always very attentive.
