Wakatu Lodge

Couldn't get a prolonged stay this time,must have changed their policy. I stayed last time for about four months. Very quiet there I liked it . The managers wife is very friendly and helpful

I can’t stress how awesome this lodge is. Close to the beaches and the town. Super tidy rooms and the kitchens and bathrooms are always clean.

The hosts are such amazing people they interacted with our kids letting butterflies go in the garden and games for the pool.

Highly recommend this Lodge and will definitely come back again.

Good friendly owners, very good family accommodation which is also v.suitable for single travellers and couples.
I`ve stayed with Simon and Melissa several times over the last few years and always make a beeline for Wakatu Lodge if I`m travelling anywhere near Nelson.

Clean, comfortable, and friendly welcome. Just stayed for 1 night but would happily stay again.

A good backpacker. The parking lot is a little short, but you can park outside the fends in the main street. The swimming pool is small too, but in good condition and fully usable. A pool table, table tennis, table football and loads DVDs are available to customers.
