Punakaiki Beach Camp

WiFi only available near the community kitchen area. It is not available at individual sites. No children’s activities at all. No playground. Beautiful oceanfront sites. Community kitchen available but bring your own pots and pans and all other supplies. Refrigerators available as is a propane grill.

Lovely campsite close to the Cavern and pancake rocks, beach and river a stones throw.
OK toilets and showers are basic but they are free, laundry facilities are good
My only complaint would be the constant noise of a chain saw on the 2 days we were there, started in the morning and still going when we got back at 3pm

We have recently stayed here in our camper van. Great spot near the beach and walk ways.
Lovely friendly staff, good facilities and a food wagon too!

Wonderful location and just lovely accommodation for the type.

The cabin was well appointed and just a little way from the main camp facilities. Crockery and cutlery need to be collected separately from the camp office. But we didn't need this.

The view out the stars and sea was beautifully framed by the folliage being maintained in such a way to make that happen.

There's a wee shop and the punakaiki pub in a very close walk as are the rocks and cafes.

We'll be back for sure. Loved it

Comfy bunk beds. Stunning location. Kitchen/dining area was a bit limited and toilets a bit of a walk from riverside cabin. Otherwise a great place to stay.
