Hostal Estrella del Mar

Disappointed. One star for a beautiful ocean view, but the smelly moldy room, no potable water, wifi works sometimes and apparently never in most room. The private-drive is a mud-pit entrance when it rains, On arrival the hosts shows us the lobby and says this is the 'wifi area!'. I don't think the room was dirty but it just looks and feels dirty as everything is well worn. Maybe this doesn't matter to some
.

This is a basic budget hotel but it is clean and quiet. Our room had amazing sunrises. The owner is a lovely lady who is always excited to see you and very accommodating.

Beautiful, clean room. Fresh towels, free soap and shampoo. Free WiFi. Refrigerator in rooms. AC. Sitting rooms between rooms. Deck over looking the bay. Free filtered drinking water and free coffee. They held our bags after check out until it was time for our ferry. Some bilingual staff but all with a smiling, cheerful attitude. A wonderful experience all around.

Staff was nice and sea view was great. Our ceiling leaked in the shower and on our clothing in room 11. The maid folded some of our things and hid them under a pillow which was frustrating.

Was clean, sea view was nice, and staff was helpful.
Don’t expect a working wifi, most of the time it didn’t work.
