The Innlet Backpackers and Cottages

We stayed in one of the cottages. They heated my room prior to my arrival which was thoughtful. Room was really cute and beds relatively comfortable compared to other places I've stayed. Good bedding too - two pillows each, duvet and blanket. Great view outside on deck. Lovely falling asleep to sound of the stream outside.

Lovely secluded location on the outskirts of Takaka. We stayed in the Opua Cottage which had a beautiful homely feel to it whilst also being the size of a small cabin which felt like we were living way back before everyone needed a 300 room house.
Hosts were lovely. Be aware that the cottage has an external access toilet/shower so not ideally suited to colder months. There's also the "old school" bar/restaurant close by which is worth a visit during your small town tour

Could not recommend this place more! We stumbled across it last minute and Jonathan & Katie were so accommodating! We stayed in the cottage and it’s absolutely incredible, super cosy - perfect for a country getaway! The outdoor bath set in the bush also adds to the relaxing nature of the place. Super friendly hosts & a super house!

Really nice and lovely Hostel. The Hosts are super friendly, I loved it here. I slept in an five Bed dorm room, it was totally fine. The bed was comfortable and the room was really tidy. The whole Hostel has a nice atmosphere ✨
I would definitely stay here again.
