Alpine Motel

Really impressed with this hotel. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. You can tell the owner is heavily involved in the operations, as it has fantastic details with charm. Even has a makeup remover towel! Our room had everything we could’ve possibly needed!

Lovely comfy room and affordable. Friendly and helpful owners. A great location for a short walk to town for the restaurants, the shops and the water front.

Thank you Derek! My family and I had a good stay here. It’s clean, strategic location, 5min stroll to Wanaka Lake and surrounding restaurant . The fresh milk, kitchen facilities to prepare breakfast. For the rate I have paid for, those things are above 5 stars, the ear pug is really helpful though. 😍 💤

The only objection for me was the price/ value. $203 (Australian) is very expensive for what you get given I was only 1 person. Staff were all very nice and helpful. I'd be happy if I got the room (as a single traveller) for ~$110. For 3 people travelling it would still be good value for a short stay at $200 given there's a double and a single bed plus kitchenette with microwave.

Fantastic place to stay in Wanaka. Crystal was very helpful telling us places to go around the area. Room was clean, large TV, and body wash, shampoo and conditioner was provided. Water was hot, room was kept warm, and kitchen facilities were fantastic. Definitely value for money. Thank you Derek for putting towels over our car windscreen overnight! The care put into this motel and the service is definitely appreciated.
