Baltimore Hunt Valley Inn - Wyndham Grand

Stayed here over a weekend and the hotel is big, lots of free parking around the building. The staff was great, everyone was friendly and spoke when they passed you. The rooms are large with mini refrigerators, o microwave though. The Starbucks was good to have. The brunch was great, service was good also. We were there for a wedding and the staff during the event was awesome. Great place to stay, had no problems during our stay.

really nice hotel has indoor and outdoor pools. there are 2 problems: 1st, you could very easily get lost trying to find your room, the place is like a maze. and 2nd , there bar is ALWAYS closed for lunch and the restaurant is used for private functions often.

Location should really not book any events until they do much needed renovations/repairs. 1 side of escalator was broken for the whole weekend. Indicator lights on all 3 elevators did not work so you didn't know if it would be going up or down (conveniently none of the hotels had inspection/approval paperwork posted as I'm guessing they couldn't pass). Front desk staff was amazing, but interaction with general manager definitely made me feel like our group was not wanted there. Probably really should only be 1 star but bumped up for the comfy bed and front desk staff.

For the price, this hotel just isn't worth it. I have stayed at nicer hotels with working amenities for less. The AC was not working and it made the air for a 4 day conference unbearable. We were told they were working on getting it fixed, but that never happened and recent reviews show that it had been out for at least a week prior to our visit. Only 1 of the 3 small elevators work, which made getting anywhere incredibly slow and crowded, and 1/2 escalators worked to get between the lobby and lower level. Again, based on reviews this has been a problem for quite a long time, yet they agreed to host a large conference in the hotel. While the staff were overall nice and doing their best, I did have an issue with getting toilet paper and towels. Upon arrival, only half a roll of toilet paper was in my bathroom. I went to the desk for toilet paper that night, and they had to send someone to my room with one small roll. Another day, I called and asked for towels and toilet paper and it never came. I hated that I kept having to ask for toilet paper and after multiple attempts at the desk and housekeeping I was NEVER given fresh towels. The hotel is definitely dated and has its share of problems, so the price per night just doesn't match what feels appropriate for what you get, especially with so many of the listed amenities not actually working. I heard of even worse issues for other people, such as leaking, mold, and electronics not working, which also influenced my rating.

Very strange hotel. Room had a mildew smell, it was clear there had been water damage in it at one point. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but it was very funky overall. Strange stains in the bathroom, lights that didn’t work, I could hear the cell phone alarm (it was pink’s get the party started which honestly must be an awesome song to wake up to everyday) from our neighboring room loud and clear so privacy was minimal. The bath towels were very rough and comically small. Staff was very kind but I’d definitely choose somewhere else for a stay in this area.
