Lake Tekapo Village Motel

The Landlady was extremely friendly and helpful! She asked us whether we had dinner reservations and gave us some recommendations for places to eat at. After we told her we had dinner reservations already,she even called the place to make sure there was space for us.The room was cozy and the Landlady had left the heater on for us so it would be warm when we walked in.The toilet not only had a toilet and a shower,it had a bathtub and soap and moisturiser too! In the morning Glenn poured water all over the cars and melted the ice on them! There was also a lawn in front of some of the rooms where we did budget stargazing!😂

I’m staying in a lot of motels with my job great people I had a wee bit of car trouble and they were so helpful. Just real good Kiwi folk. Thanks for your help with car trouble one of the nicest couples you ever meet running a motel. And of course the room was spacious warm clean and very comfortable

Had an amazing 3 night stay and the receptionist was so kind and helpful. However they seem a bit short of staff, so if you need your room serviced or fresh towels just request beforehand. It was also closed to the supermarket, and eateries near by. The room comes with a brief introduction of the places to eat and explore nearby, which was handy.

We had a flying stopover at Tekapo and we were so pleased with this Motel. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfy. The staff are fantastic, no question was too much and we received a warm kiwi welcome.
Location is perfect, can walk to the lake, all the restaurants and just relax. Will stay again for sure.

Stayed here overnight when passing through Tekapo. The room was spacious and had all of the amenities you need.

My only quibble is the heat is kept turned off before checking in and so the room takes a bit of time to warm up even at maximum blast. Also, the internet is pretty spotty.
