This is the first "self-service" hostel I've been to. No one was there to check us in...literally no staff. We spoke to the owner by phone to let him know that we arrived and then about an hour later someone actually showed us our room. Granted we were supposed to tell them when we were arriving but we didn't have data or wifi upon our arrival and we didn't expect the hostel to be practically empty (it was a tad unnerving).

Thankfully, another guest showed us to the terrace where we could cool off and get some water. We did have the run of place while we were here so it was kind of nice. But be warned if you stay here, be sure to tell staff in the morning right away what you need or you'll have to wait until the next day.

I had to run down to the water delivery truck twice to get water and pay for water for the hostel out of pocket. It was only 1-2 dollars but not really the point since most places provide it for free and don't require you to pick up the cooler sized jug and bring it up several flights of steps. The cleaner named Natalie was great but the place probably needs more staff to function if they have more guests. This hostel does have potential so hopefully this is just the place trying to recover after covid.

I loved how quiet this hotel can be. The owner is such a lovely lady. She was always ready to help and came up with a solution to everything. I highly recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I had to find a hostel last minute in Puerto Ayora and we could not have been happier with Ariana. It was away from most of the noise and traffic, but within walking distance to good restaurants. The hostel was affordable, comfortable, great A/C, free filtered water, nice private bathroom, and the owner Gabriel cut us open a couple coconuts for free when we arrived, as a cherry on top. The Wi-Fi on the top floor was a little weak, but was good on the 2nd floor, and other than that it was perfect! Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay and very good value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and quiet.

Every morning a wonderful fresh breakfast is served, with locally grown coffee.

Although you are a little walk out of the center, it didn't feel like a slog to walk it. Plus the place is quieter because of that.

The owner is incredibly helpful and goes out of his way to help you find tours, ferry tickets, or whatever. He also speaks fluent English, which is useful, plus he is genuinely interested in his guests.

Good hotel if you know what youre getting. Nice room. Good breakfast but far from the touristy part of the town.
