Aspect Central

The motel itself is fine, fairly basic but decent for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful, however when we asked for our room to be cleaned, our bedding was simply made up (no clean sheets) and that was it. There were mugs and spoons that we would have loved to be replaced, but were still sitting dirty on the table when we got back tired from our day out, and the extra bedding requested for my child was removed (we returned from our booked tour after reception closed at 7pm, so we were completely out of luck for the night). The bathroom still had a small piece of toilet paper on the floor near the toilet when we returned, so it clearly wasn’t cleaned at all. The value for the dollar is good, but better cleaning standards would be a good start at improvement, especially since the rooms are only serviced upon request.

I stayed one night in a single bed room and was pleasantly surprised. The main reason for my booking was value for money (5 stars - only $77) with my own toilet and shower, which were in my room. The bed was very soft and comfortable, the lady at the front counter was helpful and polite, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic and the air-conditioning worked very well. The only real downside was that the internet dropped in and out - excellent while it was on though. I was able to walk to the esplanade in about 10-15 mins and was also shown where I could find a microwave in the Aspect Central kitchen area. Thanks for having me!

Process to check in and out was easy. Room is dirty with small ants EVERYWHERE. They bite you during the night and get into your stuff.

We arrived a month early for our booking, lady at reception was very helpful and rebooked us . Rooms are clean comfortable and spacious enough for an overnight stay.
There are a few meal options within an easy walk too.
Will be staying here when next in Cairns.

I had a great time here on my Cairns trip! The room is spacious, air conditioned and has a nice bathroom. I had a room with queen sized bed and a really comfortable couch. The room features a little kitchen with mobile stove, toaster, microwave and regular kitchen equipment. Also there is a TV, pool and free WiFi. The area is fenced, so after reception closes, you can only access the area by the RFID key, so there wont be any strangers on the property at night.
This was one of the cheapest motel rooms I had in Australia, but simultaneously it was one of the best! Therefore I would really recommend you to go here, if you’re travelling by car!
Keep in mind Aspect Central is located right on Sheridan street (Bruce/Captain Cook Hwy) so it takes you half an hour to get to Cairns Marina by foot.
