Karmen Apartments

Lovely apartments with an unbeatable location, comfy beds, and great host. Found it quite quiet, even being in the center of town, and appreciated little touches like dinner recommendations, access to guidebooks, the towel heater, and views of the city walls.

Marc van Bloemen provides an excellent base to explore and enjoy Dubrovnik at his Karmen Apartments. First rate at a great rate inside the walls by the old harbour.

Comfortable accommodations in a great location with fantastic hosts. My wife and I were very pleased with our room at the Karmen Apartments and its great location near the city wall. Perhaps most impressive was our host, Marc van Bloemen. Marc was very helpful as we planned our visit to Dubrovnik and followed through with great service during out stay. At one point I had a problem while I was across town, and Marc ran over from the Karmen Apartments to help me. An extraordinary host!

Marc’s place was perfect. As a host, he is a well respected man about town, and the location cannot be beat. Start your day with a morning swim, and then go out for the day to explore Old Town Dubrovnik.
Every comfort was provided including outstanding suggestions for food and adventure.
Comfortable decor with a great collection of travel books, and an outdoor seating area where mingling with the neighbors was a daily activity.
Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. That said, if you have any mobility issues, discuss them with Marc.

If his place is not right for you, he’ll have a great suggestion. Highly recommend!

Apartment 4 is quite small, but location and value for money more than make up for this. Located in the old town, a short stroll to the wall and restaurants, it is a gem. Marc is a great communicator and booking is easy. We were very comfortable - there is also a small kitchenette. We’d love to stay again.
