Hostal Tongo Reef

Well i only had a tour with the Travel agency same name from the same building. It's not nice to hear after you arrive 10 minutes late in the morning for the start of the tour. Hello.... YOUR LATE...
There was no time to try on the wetsuit and we went straight to the pier... Guess what we ended up waiting there for 20 minutes before we actually started the tour...
The best thing was that I originally was supposed to get picked up. After they realized that I stay close by, they said I need to walk I'm NOT getting picked up. Also I want to mention that I went to the office one day before because I thought I can try my things before... Sadly that was not available...

Cute place and very friendly owners who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Big and hearty breakfast which is served very early (from 6:15am) - very helpful before going on early tours or transportation.
Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well ventilated, with a good shower very hot water.
Very quiet (a saw previous reviews talking about construction work, we saw and heard nothing), located a few short minutes walk from the center and port.

Terrible experience at the hotel.
Worst we had ever.

Since we checked in we have not seen any staff member.
Even when sending a direct WhatsApp message to the manager there was no response even though the message has been seen.

Our booking included a breakfast that supposed to start at 6 am.
We got to the breakfast area at 0630 before a day trip and there was no food, no one there. After waiting 20 min we went for full day tour Hungry.

In the first night there was super loud music until 3am. Couldn’t sleep well.
The owner or any other staff member probably had no interest taking care of it.

Just don’t try this place

Beautiful place with amazing hosts. Everything we needed for a week and a half stay was provided. The owners are accommodating and available. They include a nice local breakfast and have any info needed to make the best of your visit. Second trip to San Cristobal and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. There is a tour company run by the family too so they have you covered for literally everything you could need. Be back soon and thanks for having us!

The owner and staff are all so friendly and will make you feel at home the whole time you’re there. Breakfast in the morning is also delicious! Room s are very nice and cleaned daily.
