Hotel La Gran Tortuga

The place is nice and clean and the location is decent but the staff are fantastic. Our AC malfunctioned one morning and it was fixed before we returned that afternoon and the owner was kind enough to drive into town the next morning to try and get in touch with a tour agency that wasn't picking up the phone. For the price i would certainly recommend.

Would definitely recommend this hostal. Super good host. Very service minded and super friendly. Very flexible with the breakfast time and always made sure your transportation to activities was there on time. Very nice and clean rooms. All in all very nice.

Very nice rooms. Super kind staff. Very well located in Isabela, can go anywhere within 10 minutes! We missed our boat from Santa Cruz and they had no problems cancelling one night for us. Recommended

We got to stay here for 1 night and it was great! The location is decent, we walked there during the daytime and it took maybe 15 or 20 minutes from the pier if I remember correctly.

The front desk folks are all very kind, enthusiastic, and SO helpful. They quickly recommended activities to do around the island and tours. We ended up scheduling a tour directly with them and it was so easy and reasonably priced too! We did an amazing snorkel tour with them. We saw so many animals, it really was worth it! The ocean was cold, but there were so many sea creatures. I'm going to remember the animals NOT how cold it was!

The front desk man even offered to personally taxi us to places! He took us on a micro taxi tour to a flamingo populated and the tortoise center! At 5am we had a ferry to take and I was too sick to walk. Luckily he was awake downstairs and taxi'd us to the pier! Amazing.

This place left me with mixed feelings. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was great, but the showerhead was gross and we had no soap during the entire stay. The staff was friendly, but after the first day the room service left us with only 1 towel to share for the rest of the days. The breakfast buffet was by far the worst we experienced during our travels in Galapagos, the scrambled eggs, which was the only item besides bread and fruit, were so salty they were almost inedible.
