Frenchman's River

The Helmsman and Writers Houses are some of the best accommodation you can find in Cygnet. The houses are very well furnished, with absolutely stunning views over the bay of Cygnet. Posie and Andrew are very lovely, and keep up to date to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. The houses are very warm in cold nights, with the fireplace and numerous heaters within both houses. The houses come stocked with food, that are all very tasty and of high quality. The homes are only a 10-15 minute walk from town, where there are a few nice cafes with great tasting foods (Try Lovett or the bank cafe, have great food). Stayed in the Helmsman twice, with our friend staying in the writers cottage, and have had a delightful stay both times.

Absolutely perfect in every detail. Wished we had stayed longer and could happily have not left the house at all though the surrounding cafes and sites were very tempting too!

Very comfortable and clean place. good environment.
