We had an amazing experience! Lucia was extremely hospitable and gracious- made us feel at home and tended to all our needs.
Thanks to Lucia we were upgraded to a spacious room with a large balcony overlooking the bay.
Breakfast was delicious with an assortment of local foods.
Definitely would recommend staying here.

We stayed in Casa Playa Mann just for a few nights in January after our cruise and before going back home. The location is just perfect, close to the small town and nice beaches. What made our stay truly exceptional and worth even more than a 5-star review was the warmth and service given by the owner Jose. You could feel he was always ready to help us out whenever we needed it. On top of that he is himself a naturalist and certified photographer so he’s really your guy when you’re looking for recommendations for activities etc ! We had a small local plane to catch to go to Santa cruz to get our international flight and had quite some issues with this company, Jose did his absolute best to call the airplane company, the airport and even more to make sure we would be able to catch our flight !
Rooms and breakfast also very nice and clean but I would go back to Casa Playa Mann just for the service alone !
Thanks Jose and your family, hope to see you again someday 👍

My wife and I spent 4 days here and we could not recommend this hotel highly enough. The room was very clean, comfortable, and came with an absolutely stunning view. The hotel was in a perfect location, just a short walk from town and an even shorter walk to Playa Mann beach, which was a great place to spend time with the sea lions. What truly sets this hotel apart is the kindness and hospitality of your hosts. Jose and Lucia go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, highlighted by a delicious and healthy breakfast they serve fresh to you each morning that really gets your day started right. We were astonished to find Lucia up before dawn to hand us breakfast sandwiches and hot coffee before leaving for our early morning ferry, an incredibly thoughtful and sweet send off. This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere!

My wife and I spent four nights at Casa Play Mann. Jose and his family provided excellent accommodations, great breakfasts, and outstanding service and assistance. The provided fridge and in-room ac made Casa Playa Mann a fantastic sanctuary for resting and cooling down between our various outings and adventures. We were on the third floor and the view of the bay was incredible. The private balcony had three hammocks plus chairs and a table and was great for drying our snorkel gear that we used daily (thanks to the nearby beaches). Jose also arranged a rainbow for us. ;-)

The location is on the edge of town which made it virtually next door to Playa Mann and and short hike to Muelle Tijeretas (**excellent snorkelling) and Playa Carola (also good snorkelling). Walking into town took less than 10 minutes, too, so being on the edge of town wasn't an issue for us. We also rented bikes from a kayak/bike rental that was 2 doors down and rode to Playa Loberia (strongly recommended). I think the ride took about 15 minutes one-way.

On this trip we stayed in Quito, Isla Isabela (Iguana Crossing hotel), Isla Santa Cruz (Ikala hotel), and finally Isla San Cristobal. Internet speed was extremely poor and I relied on the Claro SIM card I picked up in Quito but even that had its ups and downs. But Casa Playa Mann's wi-fi had a pretty decent internet connection, definitely much better than the bigger hotels we stayed at on Isabela and Santa Cruz. Quite frankly we were surprised that a cozy, family-run hotel would have better Internet than the bigger places but it was undeniable. Zoom meetings aren't going to happen but checking Instagram and Facebook worked very well. The other surprise was that our room had a coffee maker and kettle. Neither of the prior two hotels had these items and coffee first thing in the morning was GREATLY appreciated.

We were very glad that we stayed here. It felt like a much more authentic experience than the bigger hotels and we learned more about the island talking with Jose than we did interacting with the staff at other hotels.
